Training details:

You must have a passing PRT score within last 6 months to register for this training.

This is an overnight training in a barracks environment at Officer Candidate School, Marine Corps Base Quantico.

The training is being held on weekend days only. Training dates are Friday, 14 May, Saturday 15 May, Sunday 16 May, Friday, 21 May, Saturday 22 May, Sunday, 23 May.

Graduation is at 1600 on Sunday, 23 May.

The training will take place at Officer Candidate School, Skinner Hall at Marine Corps Base Quantico. The address is 32189 Elrod Rd, Stafford, VA 22554. The barracks where we'll be staying for the duration of training is on the left rear side of the parade ground, as indicated on this map:

As a COVID prevention measure, the Training Command will be providing meals. Ensure that if your child has food allergies that you communicate this to the staff during check-in. Such allergies should already be documented in your cadet's service record.

You will, at a minimum, need one complete set of NWU, preferably Type III, as well as one complete set of Service Dress Whites. Recruits will be issued Recruit ballcap at check-in.

The seabag list can be found below. It is understood that many of the items on the list are not needed for a day training. In the case of this training, the packing of the items on this list is intended to be instructional, as seabag packing is a necessary skill for all follow-on Advanced Trainings.

All cadets and staff are expected to comply with posted COVID protection measures at all times and are instructed to arrive with masks on.

Cadets shall arrive in NWU Type III (Type I is an authorized substitute if Type III not issued by home unit).

APPLICATION PROCEDURES:
NSCC Recruits – all seats are first-come, first served, and will be ‘approved’ in Magellan only upon receipt of each of the following documents from your unit in Magellan (and the Magellan request itself from Unit CO); submit all documents to the COTC through your own unit’s Commanding Officer or Training Officer before 2359 12MAY2021:

Cadets shall bring their hard copy service record / training jacket with them to be turned into administrative staff during check-in.
All medicines shall have their proper labels; prescription meds must be in their original bottles with the patient’s name printed. All medicines shall be placed in a single ziplock bag with the cadet’s name written clearly on it with permanent marker.
